Choosing a wedding venue is an extraordinarily important decision that can impact the overall feel and success of your wedding day.
Which is more important?
0%Venue Location, definitely!
0%Venue Style and Theme, definitely!
But, no worries!
I have a list here of some principle factors you should consider when selecting your wedding venue.
1. Additional venue costs.
In order to properly determine your budget for your ideal venue, first you must consider any additional costs you will encounter for your venue. This includes, but is not limited to, catering (food, staffing, bar, etc.), decorations (rentals, florals, lights, drapery, etc.) and other services (valet parking, security, audio/video rentals, etc.).
To stick to your budget, make sure your desires are planned out beforehand so you know what you want, what you don't want, what you need and what you don't need. Make sure to your hold your ground to avoid overspending.

2. Your overall wedding budget.
Some general advice on how to determine your budget for a wedding venue is to consider your overall wedding budget. Typically, the wedding venue cost makes up a significant portion of the total budget. A common rule of thumb is to allocate about 40-50% of your total budget to the venue, including catering and related expenses.
3. Your guest list.
Next, think about the number of guests you plan to invite. This will greatly impact the size of the venue needed and, as a result, the cost. On top of that, the location and season can affect pricing, with popular venues or peak wedding seasons often being more expensive.
4. Be realistic.
It's crucial to be realistic about what you can afford and prioritize your spending based on what is most important to you aka your desires. Make sure you do your research. Research various venues, get quotes, and carefully review contracts to understand all associated costs.
